Product Description
These extended pin jaws were designed for our laser marking customers who need to engrave parts up to 6″ (153mm)OD and as small as .66″ (16.7mm) ID, using our 3-jaw chucks manufactured after 2014*. The top jaws have four pin hole locations that hold 3/16″ hard-steel dowel pins and attach to the master jaws with a socket head cap screw. The pins come in 1″ and 1.5″ lengths, both in sets of three.
These jaws are not designed for machining parts or other uses that require more than finger tight closing pressure to hold the part in the chuck. Round parts can be held from the inside or outside with just finger-tight grip of the pins while the outside is laser marked. The jaws will work in any of our 3-Jaw Chucks.
*NOTE: Chucks manufactured prior to 2014 will need to have each jaw custom ground to fit. Either send your chuck in or measure the width of each jaw with micrometers. Then send a list of each jaw width (A, B, and C jaws).
Each Pin-Jaw Set includes:
- 3 hardened master jaws (P/N 11445LP)
- 3 extended top jaws (11453L)
- 2 sets of 3 each of the following lengths of 3/16″ hardened steel dowel pins:
- 1″ (P/N 37580)
- 1-1/2″ (P/N 37581)
- 1/8″ Hex adjustment key (P/N 40561)
These pins can be changed to give you a longer gripping area.
