For mounting a 3C Collet Closer to a 3C headstock on our leadscrew lathes with risers

Our supplier has made a design change to these jaw inserts. They are no longer produced with a serrated side; the new version is smooth on both sides.

In addition, the overall length has been changed from 4.00″ to 3.76″. The mounting hole size and location remain unchanged, so the inserts will still fit and function with our top jaws. However, because of the shorter length, the ends of the inserts will sit approximately 0.120″ inside the edge of the top jaw on each side.

If you are ordering a replacement oiler, be sure to measure the thread diameter on your existing oiler. The original oilers used a 10-32 thread, which is no longer available. The current oilers use a 6 x 1 mm thread, as do all new saddle nuts. A 10-32 thread will measure approximately .189" (4.8 mm) OD. Depending on your application, you may also need to purchase a new saddle nut to match the updated thread size.
