About the 3C Headstock Hard-Stop Kit
The 3C Headstock Hard-Stop Kit is an optional material stop for the 3C Collet Spindle Headstock and the 3C Lever Collet Closer (P/N 3025).

Using the 3C Headstock Hard Stop
The stop block threads into the back of the collet drawbar knob on the 3C headstock. The 9″ rod is for use with only the 3C headstock, while the 11″ rod is for use only when the 3C lever collet closer is in place. The rods are inserted through the stop block body and are held in place by a set screw. Place your material in the collet until it hits the stop. The position of the rod provides a hard stop for running multiple parts of identical length.
WARNING: The stop rod should never extend out beyond the back of the stop block body (P/N 30146) by more than 2.0″ (50 mm). If the stop rod extends farther than 2.0″, it can become a hazard if the centrifugal force that is exerted on it by the spindle revolution becomes high enough to bend the stop rod (see Figure 1).
