Important Update Regarding Sherline Products

We would like to share an encouraging development regarding the future of Sherline Products.
We are currently in discussions with an American manufacturer regarding the potential purchase of Sherline’s intellectual property and remaining inventory. The goal of this proposed acquisition is to preserve and revitalize the Sherline brand while providing continued availability of replacement parts, accessories, and machines for our valued customers.
As these discussions progress, we have agreed to temporarily suspend accepting new orders, effective October 19, 2026. This will allow us to preserve our remaining inventory while negotiations are underway.
Although no final agreement has been reached, we are hopeful that this opportunity will provide a positive path forward for the Sherline name and the customers who have trusted our products for more than five decades.
We sincerely appreciate your patience, understanding, and continued loyalty during this transition. We will share additional information as soon as it becomes available.
Our greatest hope is that the Sherline legacy of quality, precision, and American craftsmanship will continue for generations to come.

Mill Ball Screw XYZ-Axes Retrofit Kit
The Mill Ball Screw XYZ‑Axes Retrofit Kit is a retrofit upgrade for Sherline milling machines that replaces the standard X and Y axis lead screws with precision ball screws to reduce backlash and improve smooth, accurate motion. It includes rolled ball leadscrews with BSH nuts (10 mm × 2 mm lead, C7 accuracy), high-torque stepper-motor couplings and mounts, and ball screw mill saddles assembled at the factory for easy installation.

Mill Ball Screw XY Axes Retrofit Kit
The Sherline Mill Ball Screw XY Retrofit Kit is an upgrade for Sherline milling machines that replaces the standard X and Y lead screws with precision ball leadscrews and saddles plus high-torque couplings and mounts to reduce backlash and improve smooth, accurate motion on those axes. The ball screws are 10 mm diameter with a 2 mm lead and assembled with preload and mounts at the factory for easier installation.

Mill Ball Screw Z-Axis Retrofit Kit
The Mill Ball Screw Z‑Axis Retrofit Kit is an upgrade kit for Sherline milling machines that replaces the standard Z-axis leadscrew with a precision ball screw assembly to reduce backlash and improve smoothness and positional accuracy. It includes a rolled ball screw with BSH nut, stepper-motor coupling and mount, and modified saddle components, and is ready to install with all key parts assembled at the factory.
Why it matters:
• Stronger, smoother Z-axis motion and better CNC performance
• Tight tolerances for increased precision
• Some loss of max travel due to the new saddle design
