Z-axis only Digital Readout Handwheel Package (without electronics box), P/N 8240 (8245)

For those who purchase a P/N 8200 2-axis lathe DRO and later decide to add a vertical milling column, this kit adds a DRO handwheel and cable to the milling column to provide a Z-axis readout on the column. It is plugged into the electronics box that comes with the 8200, as it already has a Z-axis input. In this configuration, the lathe's leadscrew axis, which was called the Z-axis is now plugged into the Y-axis input and the column becomes the new Z-axis. (In machining, the axis of the spindle is normally called the Z-axis, regardless of which direction it moves.)
