Important Update Regarding Sherline Products

We would like to share an encouraging development regarding the future of Sherline Products.
We are currently in discussions with an American manufacturer regarding the potential purchase of Sherline’s intellectual property and remaining inventory. The goal of this proposed acquisition is to preserve and revitalize the Sherline brand while providing continued availability of replacement parts, accessories, and machines for our valued customers.
As these discussions progress, we have agreed to temporarily suspend accepting new orders, effective October 19, 2026. This will allow us to preserve our remaining inventory while negotiations are underway.
Although no final agreement has been reached, we are hopeful that this opportunity will provide a positive path forward for the Sherline name and the customers who have trusted our products for more than five decades.
We sincerely appreciate your patience, understanding, and continued loyalty during this transition. We will share additional information as soon as it becomes available.
Our greatest hope is that the Sherline legacy of quality, precision, and American craftsmanship will continue for generations to come.

About the 13″ Crosslide Assembly

This 13″ lathe crosslide is for those who want to convert their Sherline lathe into a “Chucker Lathe” or gang-tooling lathe. The 13″ crosslide can hold multiple gang-tooling tool posts.

This 13″ lathe crosslide is .870″ thick (as opposed to the standard 6″ crosslide which is .625″ thick) and is not recommended to replace your lathe crosslide for normal use. The extra thickness of this crosslide requires a headstock riser plate (P/N 1295) to put tooling on center with the headstock. When you switch to a gang-tooling setup using the 13″ crosslide along with a riser plate, you will no longer be able to use your tailstock! We make a riser for the headstock but not one for the tailstock, so parts cannot be turned between centers. Some of our other accessories, such as the thread-cutting attachment, can also not be used with this thicker crosslide.

The DRO crosslide includes a leadscrew, a DRO handwheel, and an encoder unit with cable.
