Important Update Regarding Sherline Products

We would like to share an encouraging development regarding the future of Sherline Products.
We are currently in discussions with an American manufacturer regarding the potential purchase of Sherline’s intellectual property and remaining inventory. The goal of this proposed acquisition is to preserve and revitalize the Sherline brand while providing continued availability of replacement parts, accessories, and machines for our valued customers.
As these discussions progress, we have agreed to temporarily suspend accepting new orders, effective October 19, 2026. This will allow us to preserve our remaining inventory while negotiations are underway.
Although no final agreement has been reached, we are hopeful that this opportunity will provide a positive path forward for the Sherline name and the customers who have trusted our products for more than five decades.
We sincerely appreciate your patience, understanding, and continued loyalty during this transition. We will share additional information as soon as it becomes available.
Our greatest hope is that the Sherline legacy of quality, precision, and American craftsmanship will continue for generations to come.

About the Shop Secrets Video

Mike Rehmus is not only an experienced machinist, he also is a professional video photographer and editor. He is probably best known among model engineers for his annual video documentation at the N.A.M.E.S. and P.R.I.M.E. shows and now as editor of Model Engine Builder magazine. He has now produced the first in what will be a series of videos for the home machinist and has put a lot of effort into making this video not only informative but also fun to watch. Photography, lighting, titles, animation, and narration are all first rate.

He takes each measuring tool used by a machinist and covers how it works, how it is used and how it is maintained. You will learn about everything from micrometers and calipers to depth mics and sine bars. Even something as basic as using a scribe properly is covered. Where necessary to explain a concept, excellent animated visuals are utilized.

If you are new to machining, your parts will only be as accurate as your ability to measure them. Learn what tools you need to buy for your shop and the proper way to use them right from the start. Unless you were fortunate to apprentice under a real expert with measuring tools, you will learn a lot from this video. If you are new to machining, the price is almost insignificant compared to the knowledge you will gain.

Because of the ease of copying, all video sales are final. The video is no longer available in VHS tape format and is only offered in DVD format. (NTSC)
