The Sherline Industrial Products Division was formed to provide industrial versions of our components to design and manufacturing engineers for use in production tooling applications. They are similar to the slides and spindles used on our miniature machine tools; however, they are designed to be used like "building blocks" to put together a variety of machine slide combinations. Cartridge spindles and headstocks are also offered. The photo above shows a typical single-axis slide in a CNC-ready version. Slides are also available in multiple axis configurations and with a choice of manual or CNC drive. This component line is marketed strictly from Sherline IPD's new web site. In keeping with Sherline's tools, physical size of the slides is small, with movements of up to 10" available. The design allows us to sell a high quality slide at a very low cost, however, so if the size range suits your needs, why pay more?
